FIR Filed Against Player Who Placed His Feet On World Cup!

The 2023 edition of the World Cup was supposed to end India’s ICC trophy drought as per the fans' predictions. But Australia outplayed India in all aspects and lifted the World Cup trophy. The recent trophy marked the sixth World Cup trophy the team had won so far.

Spoiling the happiness of lifting the World Cup, Australian player Mitchell Marsh landed in a big controversy after a picture of him went viral. The picture shows the player placing his legs on the World Cup trophy creating a sensation.

A few objections were raised for what the Australian player did. Netizens took strong objection to what the player did and asked if this is how a trophy is treated. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami also objected to this and said that he was hurt.

The speedster said that the World Cup is something for which the teams fight and lock horns with other teams and disrespecting it is not something that should be appreciated.

Now Mitchell Marsh is said to have attracted a big issue as an FIR was registered against him. Saying that the player had hurt the sentiments of Indians a complaint has been filed and following this, the FIR was registered.

As per the media reports, the complaint was filed by RTI activist Pandit Keshav of Aligarh. He had written to the Delhi Gate police station against Mitchell Marsh in which he alleged that what the Australian player did had hurt the sentiments of Indian fans.

Not only that, the RTI activist also said that a ban should be imposed on the player to see that he won't play in India in the future. Now the alleged development had grabbed the attention of everyone.
