Team India Stands Tall In T20s With Massive Feat!

India, the hosts of the 2023 World Cup tournament lost the finals to Australia in a low-scoring thriller. It was a big heartbreak for the fans. The Indian team came out of the big defeat quickly and shifted its focus to the T20 series which is currently underway.

Team India led by Surya Kumar Yadav aka SKY sealed the series with one match left. India won the series. India won the series 4-1 and added another series to its name. India improved its track record of winning consecutive series in the T20 series.

The T20 series also helped India script history as the team with the most number of T20 wins. In the process, India also surpassed Pakistan which was now pushed to the second position on the list.

Talking about the stats, India played as many as 213 T20 matches so far since it started playing the format. Out of the matches it played India won 136 matches and lost 67 matches while there was no result in six matches. With a win percentage of 63.84 India is at the top, followed by Pakistan with 135 wins in 226 matches.

This shows the dominance of the Indian team in the short format as it recorded more wins than other big cricketing nations. New Zealand(102 wins in 200 matches), South Africa(95 wins in 171 matches), Australia(95 wins in 181 matches) and England(92 wins in 177 matches) are in the next positions.

India saw some big heights in the format as it won the maiden World Cup in 2007 and reached the finals in the 2014 edition. IPL played a big role in making the format popular and created a big space for youngsters to enter the national team. The young players who are with the team now were once beginners in the IPL.
