I have rested, not retired: Rohit Sharma

The captain of the Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma has shockingly stepped down from the fifth test match against Australia. This became a hot topic on social media, and there were several theories about the same. People even commented that Rohit might be removed from the captain position due to his poor performances.

Rohit Sharma has reacted to this series of events today, and he had a very serious statement to make He stated that he has just momentarily taken a break from test Cricket, and this doesn’t mean that he is retired.

“I have just taken a resting period for the time being and nothing more than that. This is going to be a crucial passage of play. This resting period does not mean that I am retiring from the game or anything of that sort. I am still very much the captain of the Indian team and will be a part of the squad in the future series.” Rohit said.

Rohit added that people have become extremely judgemental and conclusive now. “Everyone with a paper, pen and a laptop has become a critic these days and they are passing random comments on social media. They have no credence whatsoever.” Rohit commented.
