Are the TDP and the pro-TDP media blind to the political realities in Andhra Pradesh? Otherwise, why are they predicting that the ruling YSRCP would come down crashing in the 2024 elections in the state? Pro-Chandrababu media is propagating stories day in and day out claiming that the YSRCP will lose heavily in the upcoming elections.

But the reality is that the YSRCP is better geared up for the upcoming assembly elections. It's machinery is fighting fit, while the TDP is unable to find suitable candidates in at least up to 100 seats. This means, the party has fighting-fit candidates in only 75 of the 175 assembly constituency seats .

More importantly, it is the YSRCP that is witnessing a mad rush for party tickets. In Gannavaram and Ramachandrapuram, there is a stiff competition for the party tickets. In fact, sitting ministers and Rajya Sabha MPs are vying for the party ticket. In most other constituencies, the situation is more or less the same.

At the same time, there is no comparison between the enthusiasm among the ticket aspirants in the TDP, which is making a desperate bid to regain power , and those in the YSRCP. Yet, the pro-TDP media is trumpeting stories that the YSRCP is on its way out. Analysts say that 2024 elections could decide the fate of the TDP.
