Young and talented hero Vishwak Sen who scored a hit already this year with 'Gaami' has arrived with a completely different flick titled 'Gangs Of Godavari'. It is a raw gangster drama set in the Godavari districts. Written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the movie was released on Friday and it is getting a very good reception from the audience. Despite the mixed talk from the critics, the collections were fantastic on Day1.
With no notable releases in the past two months, people were eager to watch this film and we can see it through the collections in Telugu states on the first day. It got a share of 1.1 crores in the Nizam area. The share from Vizag is 46 lakhs while it earned 76 lakhs from the Ceeded region. The share from East and West regions were 28 and 24 lakhs respectively.
The share from Guntur is 30 lakhs while it got 17 lakhs from Nellore. The collection from Krishna district is 21 lakhs. These are blockbuster openings for the film and it is the career-best Day1 collection for Vishwak Sen. The movie is going strong and reports suggest that the collections will be steady till the end of this week.
Neha Shetty is the heroine and Naga Vamsi is the producer. Krishna Chaitanya wrote and directed this film while Yuvan Shankar Raja composed this movie. There are a lot of noted artists in the movie. Anjali played a very important role in this gangster drama.
