Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi and presented by Pavan Kumar, the event witnessed strong industry support, with filmmakers Harish Shankar and VN Aditya attending as special guests.
Allari Naresh, addressing the gathering, spoke about the importance of mentorship in cinema. He credited director Harish Shankar for being a steadfast supporter of young filmmakers and revealed how Harish frequently motivated the teams of Naandhi and Ugram. Naresh encouraged rising directors like Nani Kasaragadda and Dr. Anil Viswanath to maintain collaboration and creativity, saying the industry thrives on patience and persistence.
Naresh expressed confidence in 12A Railway Colony, noting that despite sustaining injuries during recent shoots, his films have continued to perform well. He predicted similar success for the upcoming release.
Harish Shankar’s speech was one of the event’s major highlights. Praising the film’s trailer, he said Nani Kasaragadda’s dual role as editor and director enhanced the film’s appeal. Harish also expressed admiration for the late EVV Satyanarayana, stating that his fondness for Allari Naresh comes from his respect for EVV’s legacy. Lauding Naresh for giving chances to 35 debutant directors, Harish famously remarked, “He is not Allari Naresh—he is Andari Naresh.”
The director also welcomed the recent crackdown on piracy, calling the arrest of iBomma founder Immadi Ravi a crucial step in protecting the film industry.
VN Aditya, speaking at the event, praised Naresh as an actor who consistently surprises audiences with bold script choices.
The team expressed optimism that 12A Railway Colony will resonate well with audiences when it hits theatres this Friday.
