One More Sports Drama From Aamir Khan

One of the most talented superstars, who is known for his perfection and perfect choices, hasn’t got things right in recent times. Most of his acting ventures, directorial ventures, and even production ventures failed big time. Pulling off his energy from his good pals, now Aamir Khan wants to team up with his Lagaan and 3 Idiots directors yet again. And an interesting venture is being rolled out.

Based on a book written by some unknown authors, Aamir Khan is teaming up with Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker for a cricket-based sports-drama again. Unlike Lagaan, which is set during British India, this film will be set in the immediate post-partition era, when Lala Amarnath was appointed as the first captain of the Indian test team. The film will revolve around the time situations, how the team was formed and what challenges it faced, and Aamir is likely to play Amarnath in the film. The movie is tentatively titled “Laalkaara”, and will be co-produced by Raj Kumar Hirani.

Surely this is going to be an interesting film for the cricket-loving nation, and with Aamir Khan, Ashutosh and Raju Hirani spearheading the project, it’s definitely going to be a top-notch output. But then, with all these creative chaps out of the form at the moment, they should carve out something very engaging, entertaining and attention-grabbing, laced with enthralling songs like they used to carve out earlier.
