'Aay' Showing Huge Progress! 300% Increase In Collections!
The movie collected 62 lakhs on the first day which is quite low but the good talk has brought a lot of people into the theatres.

When the list of Independence Day releases came out, no one would have thought that 'Aay' would end up as the most profitable venture. When big releases like 'Mr. Bachchan', 'Double Ismart' and 'Thangalaan' did not meet expectations, 'Aay' which is set in a rural backdrop has impressed the audience big time. The positive word of mouth is helping the movie's unit a lot.
The movie collected 62 lakhs on the first day which is quite low but the good talk has brought a lot of people into the theatres. On Day 4, the movie grossed 2.2 crores and it shows how much the collections have increased. The movie witnessed over 300% growth in the collections. With the Rakhi festival around and no other notable releases next weekend, 'Aay' is definitely heading towards a blockbuster verdict.
The relatable characters, the light-hearted nature, fun moments and good performances made 'Aay' a perfect entertainer during this holiday season. Narne Nithin is the hero in this movie. The word "AAY" is commonly used in Godavari slang and features prominently in various contexts within the movie. Nayan Sarika is the heroine in this film.
Ace producer Allu Aravind presented the film while art direction is handled by Kiran Kumar Manne and cinematography is by Sameer Kalyani. Anji made his movie debut with this flick.
