Since then, Abbas has become a household name and featured in many movies, but he never rose to that star position. Due to that, he quit films forever in 2014 owing to financial issues.
Now in 2026, Abbas is coming back to movies, and this time, he has taken up the role of playing a heroine’s father. In the upcoming film “Happy Raj” featuring GV Prakash and Sri Gouripriya Reddy in the leads, Abbas is playing the role of the heroine’s father. The teaser promises that Abbas has a grand entry, elevations, and all that is needed for him to play this suave father.
Last year in a first of his first interview given to a Tamil journalist, Abbas stated that he moved to New Zealand in 2014, worked as a cab driver and then as a techie, to take care of his family. The actor is now back in the limelight and going by his looks, no doubt he is going to make up for all the missing time here in films.
The teaser of Happy Raj promises to be very interesting with director Maria Raja Elanchezian carving out an interesting love drama where the couple fight with each other inside a boxing ring, to fix an argument regarding choosing the right venue for their marriage.
