Sailu’s film, starring newcomers Akhil and Tejaswi, has quietly become a big hit.

The movie was made on a tiny budget, just Rs 2 crores. And now it’s collected almost Rs 20 crores. It’s still running strong in theatres, and the team is pushing hard to promote it everywhere. The story itself is simple but charming: a real love story set in Telangana. And because of this hit, the new hero, heroine, music director, even the director got a big boost in fame.

But here’s the kicker, four actors passed on this project. Director Sailu Kampati shared the backstory in an interview. He first sent the script to Rahul Ramakrishna in 2017. No response. Then Sumanth Prabhas saw it and liked it at first but backed out later. Virat Karna? Not interested. Roshan, Anchor Suma’s son? Also said no. All four of them, gone. That’s a lot of missed chances.

Meanwhile, Akhil jumped in, grabbed the role, and nailed it. He turned what could’ve been someone else’s regret into his big break. Raju Weds Rambai is proof that timing, a little luck, and saying yes at the right moment can really change things.
