Is This How Telugu Is Going To Be In The Future?

This magnum opus made by Nag Ashwin had Hollywood range visuals and the touch of mythology gave goosebumps to the audience. While Prabhas was the main lead, big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and others played crucial roles.
What's more interesting is that most of them dubbed on their own in Telugu as well. Since 'Kalki' is a pan-Indian film, Nag Ashwin brought a lot of actors from other languages. But he managed to make everyone speak in Telugu and dub by themselves. Starting from Amitabh to Sashwath Chatterjee, everyone gave their own voice. Actors like Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salman who did special cameos too dubbed for themselves.
A legendary actor like Amitabh Bachchan learned his lines in Telugu and did complete justice to the role of Ashwatthama. Big B's voice is irreplaceable and he delivered the lines very well in Telugu. Even Deepika Padukone tried dubbing for herself in Telugu but the makers chose otherwise as they received negative feedback for her pronunciation. But she did a wonderful job in lip-syncing.
Kamal Haasan is used to the Telugu language for many decades. SP Balasubramanyam used to dub for the Telugu version of Kamal's films but the great actor is dubbing for himself these days. He even gave his own voice in other languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi as well. He delivered lines in a very impactful manner. Senior actress Sobhana played Mariam who is the leader of the people in Shambala. She did a lot of Telugu movies back in the late 80s and early 90s. She gave her vocals for Prabhas' film and even Anna Ben too dubbed for herself.
It is not easy to teach actors who don't know the language and bring the necessary emotions out of them. But making them dub for their characters in Telugu is truly an appreciable achievement for Nag Ashwin. Even Sashwat Chatterjee gave his own voice. But there are a few who say that the actors from other parts of the country did not utter the Telugu lines well. It is trending on social media and some are jokingly claiming that Nag Ashwin is a visionary who predicted that Telugu will be severely butchered in the upcoming years.
Since it is set in 2898 AD, many say that Nag Ashwin used broken Telugu through his actors. We need to see how the team responds to the claims by the common public. The movie is about to touch the 300 crore mark quite easily by Sunday.
