Adah Sharma's upcoming movie "Bastar the Naxal Story" is stirring controversy even before its release on March 15th. Directed by Sudipto Sen, who faced similar issues with his previous film "The Kerala Story," the movie tackles the sensitive topic of the 2010 Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh that killed 75 CRPF jawans.

The trailer portrays the film as a critique of the government's handling of the Naxalite insurgency, highlighting the plight of slain security personnel and alleged double standards from politicians. This has sparked concerns from some groups who plan to seek a court order to block the release.

Comparisons are being drawn to "The Kashmir Files," another controversial film with a right-wing political narrative. While the makers claim the film aims to raise awareness about the sacrifices of security forces, others suspect an agenda beyond truthful representation.

It remains to be seen if "Bastar the Naxal Story" will face censorship or ignite similar audience reactions as "The Kashmir Files." Interestingly, the Congress party was in power at the time of the Bastar tragedy, adding another layer of complexity to the film's potential political interpretation.
