Adivi Sesh Applauds Bold Bollywood Film Despite Controversy

Adivi Sesh is usually careful with his words, especially when it comes to political or patriotic films. Known for Major and Goodachari, he has built a strong image around serious, grounded cinema. So when he openly praised the Bollywood hit Dhurandhar, it caught attention. The film has been facing criticism for taking a clear political stand, but that didn’t stop Sesh from appreciating what it tried to show on screen.

Sharing his thoughts online, Sesh said he genuinely loved the film, even though he watched it a bit late. He praised director Aditya Dhar for handling sensitive grey areas without shouting about them. What impressed him most was the scale and presentation, which he felt matched international standards. His tone wasn’t defensive or provocative, just honest, like someone reacting as a viewer, not making a statement.

The reaction felt personal because of Sesh’s own journey with Major. While researching the 26/11 attacks for that film, he had gone deep into the subject. Watching Dhurandhar gave him a new angle, especially the way the film showed how terror networks were backed and enabled by the Lyari underworld. He admitted the experience left him shaken. Some scenes made his heart sink, others made his blood boil, and he said that emotional discomfort stayed with him.

He didn’t stop at the story. Sesh also praised the performances, singling out Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait as his favourite, while appreciating Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, and the rest of the cast. Aditya Dhar replied with a warm note, thanking Sesh for understanding the film’s intent. After Allu Arjun, Sesh is now the second Tollywood actor to openly praise Dhurandhar, even as debates continue. With Dhurandhar Part 2 set to clash with Sesh’s Dacoit in 2026, the timing of this exchange only makes things more interesting.
