By: Tupaki Desk | 15 April 2026 10:19 AM ISTWith pan India audiences increasingly embracing Telugu cinema for its scale, emotion, and strong storytelling, filmmakers from the industry are now finding a wider canvas than ever before.
Riding this wave, veteran M. S. Raju, known for producing landmark films like Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, is now preparing to present a pan India mystical divine thriller titled ‘Agadha’ , made for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi audiences.
After years of shaping successful cinema as both producer and director, MS Raju has taken a bold creative leap with this project, which has been developed over the past year with complete focus.
Agadha is designed as a blend of mythology, mystery, and suspense, aiming to deliver a fresh visual and emotional experience to audiences across languages.
The film’s promotions have already begun on an inventive note. A humorous promotional video features two thieves entering Raju’s office to steal, but getting distracted by posters of his earlier iconic films.
Their light-hearted curiosity slowly shifts into fear when they come across a mysterious new poster, which is later revealed to be from Agadha, setting the tone for its dark and divine world.
The first look poster intensifies this mystery. It shows a shadowy cave lit by torches, a massive mystical idol with twelve hands, and a lone girl standing before it with her back turned, creating a strong sense of spirituality and suspense.
Produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under Sri Adi Varaha Productions, the film was shot over 85 days across both elaborate sets and real locations. Nearly 45 minutes of VFX work is planned, highlighting its grand scale.
Music is composed by Mikkin Arul Dev, with cinematography by Nani Chamidishetty, editing by Junaid Siddiqui, production design by Rajeev Nair, and additional screenplay by Chaitanya Vegi. The film is written and directed by M. S. Raju.
