By: Tupaki Desk | 7 May 2026 10:28 AM ISTTelugu cinema’s love and admiration for supernatural thrillers shows no signs of slowing down, and Agadha looks set to feed that hunger in a big way. The teaser of the film arrived today and immediately made its presence felt with a distinct visual identity and an atmosphere thick with mystery.
The film comes from iconic filmmaker MS Raju, one of Telugu cinema’s most respected filmmakers. The man responsible for beloved classics such as Varsham, Okkadu, Devi, Manasantha Nuvve and Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana returns to the director’s chair, and the teaser makes it abundantly clear that his instincts remain as sharp as ever.
The overall aesthetic communicates a divine thriller of the highest order, drawing viewers into its world from the opening seconds.
At the heart of the story is the mysterious force called Agadha, a supernatural entity that holds dominion over life and death. The humans who cross its path are left vulnerable and powerless against something that operates entirely outside the natural order.
The teaser derives much of its impact from the harmony between its visuals and background score.
The music does not merely accompany the images but actively heightens the sense of dread and grandeur running through each sequence. Raju’s experience and craft are visible in every creative choice made here.
The performances glimpsed in the teaser feel grounded and genuine. Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Jovika who is the granddaughter of legendary actress Manjula, and Ulka Gupta each bring credibility to their respective roles.
Suspense and fear anchor the emotional landscape of Agadha, and both elements arrive in generous measure.
The teaser signs off with the haunting question “Who Is Agadha,” a line that could very well define the film’s entire dramatic journey.
Legendary MS Raju writes and directs the film, produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under Sri Adi Varaha Productions. Rakesh Venkatapuram composes the music, Nani Chamidishetty handles cinematography, and Junaid Siddiqui takes care of editing. NVN Subbaraju is the executive producer.
