Is Saiyaara the New Kabir Singh? Here's What the Numbers Say

The romantic drama Saiyaara is quickly gaining momentum and looks set to become a major box-office hit. While its opening on Saturday morning was slower compared to Friday's numbers, the film's performance picked up significantly later in the day, especially in large multiplexes. Early estimates suggest a solid 15-20% increase in ticket sales on its second day with some theatres even adding more showtimes to keep up with demand.

Saturday's earnings are expected to reach an impressive Rs 24 crore nett which is a strong sign of its growing popularity. Though Mumbai showed slightly restrained numbers on day one, it is now showing a positive upward trend. Other regions such as UP, Bihar, Haryana and Rajasthan posted excellent numbers on the first day and are maintaining steady performance with only minimal growth.

The film is performing exceptionally well in the Delhi/UP circuit, outperforming big movies like Chhaava, Sikandar, and Housefull 3. What�s striking is the similarity in Saiyaara's current trend to Kabir Singh, a previous romantic blockbuster. Both films have an intense emotional appeal but Kabir Singh was limited by its A-rating while Saiyaara enjoys broader audience reach especially among families.

If Saiyaara continues at this pace, it could exceed expectations and firmly establish itself as a blockbuster.
