Ajay Devgn's Film Put On Hold Due To 'Kalki 2898 AD'?

Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD' is raking up the moolah at the box office. After a magnificent weekend, the movie had a strong Monday as well and with no big releases nearby, there is no stopping this magnum opus. The movie is doing exceptionally well in the Hindi belt as well. It minted 135 crores in the North and is going to cross the 200 crore mark within the next few days.

On the other hand, Bollywood stars are struggling to get hits. None of the big names are managing to attract the crowds while Prabhas is registering huge numbers at the box office. Ajay Devgn who planned to release his 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' which was planned to release on 5th July has been postponed for now. The official statement is yet to come out but sources claim that the phenomenal run of 'Kalki 2898 AD' is the reason behind it.

Tabu is the female lead in this project while acclaimed director Neeraj Pandey made this film. Produced by Friday Filmworks, NH Studioz and Panorama Studios, the music is given by MM Keeravani. Bollywood analysts say that 'Kalki 2898 AD' is going to stay in theatres for long and we need to see if the Bollywood heroes risk arriving during this period or play it safe.

'Kalki 2898 AD' has Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of Ashwatthama while Prabhas is seen as bounty hunter Bhairava. Deepika Padukone plays the role of Sumathi while Kamal Haasan portrayed Supreme Yashkin in the movie. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Nag Ashwin is the director.
