Akhil Has Two Stories Ready, But Budget?

It’s quite shocking that the film “Lenin”, which gave a first blockbuster to Akhil Akkineni in theatres, is actually not getting attention on social media now, though it started streaming on OTT platforms. Many mixed opinions and negative reviews are coming up for the film after its digital premiere. However, many are wondering what direction Akhil will take up now.

After Lenin grossed more than ₹70 crores at the box office, there were huge expectations about Akhil’s next movie. In recent times, the hero has heard two stories, one being an urban action thriller and another one being a Rayalaseema-backdrop movie. Both are said to be costing more than a ₹100 crore budget, and that’s too risky to experiment with now. However, the hero is said to be not ready to come down from that budget, and hence his next film announcement is getting delayed.

On the other hand, producers are also getting scared that if a film doesn’t come out well, then Akkineni Nagarjuna will jump into the scene to correct the film, to support reshoots, but Annapurna Studios will take over the share in profits and production too. This is another thing being discussed in the industry, and that’s also a reason to worry. We have to see when Akhil’s next film will be announced.
