Akshay Asks, “Where Did I Go To Comeback?”
His comedy films have a separate fanbase and his action films are a treat to watch.
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Aug 2024 5:10 AM GMTAkshay Kumar witnessed superstardom prior to the lockdown. All his message-oriented films and movies with patriotic touch which include 'Airlift', 'Padman', 'Gold', 'Kesari', 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' and more turned out to be super hits. His comedy films have a separate fanbase and his action films are a treat to watch. He always managed to strike a balance between both of them.
The Khiladi of Bollywood has been at the top for the past three decades but things changed after lockdown. All his movies like 'Bell Bottom', 'Bachchan Pandey', 'Samrat Prithviraj', 'Raksha Bandhan', 'Cutputli', 'Ram Sethu', 'Selfie', 'Mission Raniganj' and 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' failed badly at the box office. The collections for his last outing 'Sarfira' were highly disappointing.
But the star hero is ready to arrive on August 15th once again with 'Khel Khel Main'. Speaking at an interview, he said, “I always believe whatever happens, happens for good. I don't overthink & stress myself. Just 4 or 5 films did not run well & people are sending condolence messages as if I'm dead. People are asking me to give a comeback. All I want to ask those people is, where did I go to come back? I'm very much here.”
He added, “Doing my work non-stop. I will continue to do my work irrespective of what you guys say. I'm earning money with my hard work but not by begging. And, I will continue working the way I do until the end of my life.” With two films already released, Akshay is releasing his third 'Khel Khel Main' in August. Apart from Khiladi, the film features Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, Vani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and others in lead roles as well. The trailer is quite entertaining.
