Alia Bhatt Confirms Her Cannes Debut This Year

Actor Alia Bhatt has officially announced that she will make her debut at the Cannes International Film Festival this year. During a media interaction ahead of her 32nd birthday, Alia Bhatt shared that she will be attending the prestigious event as a brand ambassador for a well-known beauty brand.

Alia Bhatt expressed her excitement about the opportunity, saying, “I am looking forward to it.” “I already planned my dress for the event and my team is experimenting with new makeup styles. I am nervous and at the same time excited about my Cannes debut and am trying out new makeup looks, possibly something bold like colorful eyeshadow inspired by my own makeup tutorial earlier this year,” she added.

She joins the list of Bollywood actresses, including Aishwarya Rai and Aditi Rao Hydari who have represented the brand at Cannes. In the past, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have also walked the red carpet for the same company.

Apart from discussing her Cannes appearance, Alia Bhatt also spoke about expanding her kid-care brand. Meanwhile, her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor shared updates on his upcoming projects. He confirmed that director Ayan Mukerji will begin pre-production for ‘Brahmastra 2’ after the release of ‘War 2’ in August this year. Ranvie Kapoor mentioned, “‘Brahmastra 2’ is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time. He is currently working on ‘War 2’. Once this is released, he will start pre-production of ‘Brahmastra 2’. It is definitely happening.”
