Allu Arjun With Dhurandhar: What A Wasted Opportunity!

Ranveer Singh collaborated with extremely talented filmmaker, Aditya Dhar for their recent film Dhurandhar. This film turned out to be one of the biggest blockbuster of all time in Indian cinema and it generated massive revenues.

Now it is being established that Aditya Dhar had narrated an ambitious story to Allu Arjun quite a while ago, and the narration reportedly impressed the actor. At that point, the project was taken seriously and moved beyond just a casual discussion.

Both of them even travelled together during this phase, which clearly showed that the collaboration was heading towards an official announcement. Industry circles believed it was only a matter of time before the project would be formally revealed.

However, things took an unexpected turn just before everything could be locked. Prabhas big budget film Kalki released, and the Karna portions in the film immediately caught everyone’s attention. According to sources, certain character traits, emotional beats, and the larger mythological angle in Kalki showed noticeable resemblance to the core idea that Aditya Dhar and Allu Arjun had been developing earlier.

This similarity became a major concern for the makers. With Kalki already out and widely discussed, moving ahead with a project that shared overlapping themes could invite constant comparisons and dilute the impact of a fresh narrative.

As a result, despite the initial excitement and genuine interest from both Aditya Dhar and Allu Arjun, the project was quietly shelved.

It would have been an absolute sensation to watch one of the finance actors in Indian cinema in the form of Allu Arjun collaborate with extremely talented, Director Aditya. This collaboration had a lot of potential, but it sadly did not happen due to unforeseen reasons.
