Talk: This Is Allu Arjun’s Commitment

Struggle in the early phase of a career is common. Every actor works hard to reach stardom. But continuing that same level of effort even after becoming a star is a different story altogether. If there’s one star who is showing such a commitment, it’s none other than Allu Arjun, who is showing tonnes of that for “Raaka”. Here comes an interesting snippet.

The first look of “Raaka” made it clear that this isn’t a regular transformation that Allu Arjun does for his movies. There’s a rawness, a certain unpredictability in the look that instantly clicked across the country. Bunny has experimented before with his looks, no doubt, but for Raaka he’s doing things more intensely. Reports suggest Allu Arjun is spending more than four hours every single day just to get into that look. That kind of effort, especially at this stage of his career, is what sets him apart. After Pushpa 2, he could have easily stayed in a commercial zone, where he needed no experiments with looks. However, he didn’t do that.

Instead of sticking to a “star” template, he is clearly pushing towards being seen as an “actor”. That shift is visible in the way he is taking Raaka forward. Well, already Allu Arjun proved himself as an actor, and the National Award sweep is a testimony to that. In a time where many star heroes are still playing within safe commercial formulas, Allu Arjun is clearly exploring newer worlds, like some of his peers. Now that he’s putting more sweat, blood, and time into Raaka’s variations, surely it looks like he’s on the path to win one more such thing.
