For Allu Arjun, Arya was that unforgettable tune, a film that not only gave him a breakthrough but also cemented his place as a star. However, as his career soared, he shifted towards mass and action-packed roles, making a return to pure romance seem unlikely. But now, Bunny has expressed a deep desire to do a full-fledged love story once again, and he has even made a promise to music director Devi Sri Prasad.
During a recent media interaction for Thandel, Devi Sri Prasad revealed an interesting conversation with Bunny. It was Allu Arjun who recommended Devi as the music director for Thandel, proving his love for music-driven storytelling. Devi shared that Bunny had personally told him about his dream project an intense love story with six melodies, much like the classics that stand the test of time.
“Love stories last longer than any other genre. Look at Devdas, Geetanjali, and Arya these films are still cherished today. Love songs, too, have an eternal appeal,” Devi said. He went on to reveal that Bunny had even written this vision on paper and signed it, almost like a declaration of intent. However, with Pushpa and its sequel making him a pan-India superstar, stepping back into a simple romance might not be easy.
While a full-fledged love story seems unlikely at this stage of his career, Bunny might still attempt it with a commercial twist. Just as he infused his earlier films with mass elements, he may mix romance with action to suit his larger-than-life image. The question remains will Bunny ever return to the kind of love story that made him a star, or will his romantic dreams always come with a dose of masala?
