One of the biggest stars in the country is right now Allu Arjun as well, with his last outing “Pushpa 2” collecting nearly ₹1800 crores from the global box office, of which more than ₹700 crores came from the Hindi version alone. After his other day’s announcement, here are some thoughts about his plans.

While Allu Arjun made his mark in Tollywood, making sure to collect more than ₹200-300 crores from this market, locally and globally, he made sure that even Northern India circuits rewarded him big time. That’s how the ₹700+ crores collection from Bollywood added to Pushpa 2’s success. His films also found footing in Malayalam too, as the Mallu audience started loving him like their own. The only market that’s missing in his arm right now is the Tamil market.

Many big heroes tried to crack the Tamil market, but then, unlike the Telugu audience, who watch a lot of Tamil dubbed films, and Northe audience who watch Telugu and Kannada dubbed films, the Tamil audience is not so receptive to other language heroes and dubbed movies. Even the likes of Baahubali and KGF have limited collections from that arena, compared to other states.

Now that Allu Arjun has roped in Atlee first and followed by Lokesh Kanaganaraj, surely this looks like a proper plan to crack the Tamil market. But we have to see how much the Tamil audience will actually embrace these films, though the director belongs to them.
