Why Allu Arjun Going After Atlee?

For a really long time, now, there have been speculations about Allu Arjun working with Tamil director, Atlee for his upcoming film. This speculation is in the news again as there are several media outlets reporting that Allu Arjun has confirmed this project and he is ready to take it forward.

However, this brings us to the question - Does Allu Arjun really need to work with Atlee at this point in time?

Factually speaking, he is a capable director who can make commercial films on a grand scale. He has multiple blockbusters to his name and has worked with several superstars across the country in the recent past.

However, when it comes to cinematic, novelty and freshness, this is where this young Tamil director takes backseat. He is widely accused of reusing Content from old commercial films and rehashing them into a new package. This might work occasionally, but it is bound to backfire one day or another.

If we observe, Atlee’s Baby John in Hindi which is a remake of his own Theri film was outrightly rejected by the Hindi audience. This essentially proved the running after established commercial formula, and hoping to deliver hits with the same methodology will not be working anymore.

For now, Allu Arjun will be focused on his immediate next film, which will be directed by Trivikram, and this should be his only concern now. On the other hand, there must not be too much emphasis on working with Atlee at this point in time.

Other commercial directors like Prashanth Neel, Koratala Siva, and others have more prospects to offer for that matter. This is exactly where Allu Arjun should be working, very smartly and get things done with the best possible resources at his disposal.
