As the Lok Sabha elections gain momentum, the proliferation of deepfake videos featuring celebrities on social media is escalating. Daily, witness viral images and videos purporting to show famous personalities engaging in political campaigning. Such deceptive practices aim to manipulate public opinion during the election season. Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh were among the recent victims of these deepfake videos. Both actors promptly took legal action by filing FIRs. Now, a fabricated clip featuring Stylish star Allu Arjun has emerged on social media, falsely claiming his involvement in Congress Party campaigning.

In the misleading video, Allu Arjun appears standing in an open-top car, waving and smiling alongside his wife, Sneha Reddy. The surrounding crowd further adds to the illusion of a political campaign. The misleading caption accompanying the video suggests, "Allu Arjun is campaigning for the honour of Congress," while another claim asserts, "Allu Arjun, India's biggest superstar, is supporting the Congress Party." However, the truth behind the video reveals a different narrative.

The footage is actually from 2022 when Allu Arjun participated in the 'India Day Parade' in New York, representing India as the Grand Marshal. The actor was honoured with this title during one of the most prominent annual events organized by the Indian diaspora in America. Allu Arjun even shared videos of this significant event on his social media platforms. He and his wife celebrated India's 75th Independence Day in New York, with a video of Allu waving the national flag at the parade being shared on his Instagram Story with the caption, "It was an honour to be the Grand Marshal of the India Day Parade in New York."

Turning the spotlight to Allu Arjun's professional commitments, fans eagerly await his upcoming film, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The film's shooting is in its final stages, and it is slated for release on August 15. Alongside Allu Arjun, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna. Interestingly, Rashmika herself has fallen victim to deepfake videos, highlighting the pressing need for vigilance and awareness regarding such deceptive content on social media platforms.
