I wanted Students To Feel Confident With My Comfortable Dressing: Amala Paul!

Southern actress actress Amala Paul is not new to the limelight. She has been in the news for both right and wrong reasons. Whilst she made her mark in movies with some super hit movies under her name, she also grabbed the headlines for her bold movies, divorces and other controversies.

She recently turned at St. Albert's College in Ernakulam, Kochi and the outfit she wore for the college event turned many heads. Her black short dress with a plunging neckline is considered inappropriate by many netizens. People questioned the reason behind her “indecent” dressing for a college event that was meant to promote her upcoming flick 'Level Cross'.

Talking to Onmanorama, Amala opened up about the criticism. She says, “The problem lies with how the cameras projected my dressing style. I wore what was comfortable for me. My dress was not inappropriate for the function. What was probably inappropriate was the way the cameras projected my attire. I have no control over that.”

She went on to explain, “The students were totally comfortable with what I wore. I wear all types of clothing, be it traditional or western. By wearing that dress, I wanted to instill confidence among students regarding their dressing choices.”

A comment on her video reads, “Be it a part of promotion or any function, there should be some minimum sense of the dress you wear in an educational institution.” Another user wrote, “Dress decently for an educational institution.” As we know, Amala Paul recently became a mother as she gave birth to a baby boy in June.
