Amazon Prime announces 2024 India slate; here's is the list

Following Netflix India's recent announcement of its programming for 2024, Prime Video has unveiled its own lineup of upcoming films and shows. The list comprises 40 original series and movies, alongside 29 films set to stream on the platform post-theatrical release, spanning Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Among the original series are Excel Entertainment’s Andhera, the Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer Citadel: Honey Bunny, the Indian adaptation of the American espionage thriller, Daring Partners backed by Karan Johar, Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Matka King featuring Vijay Varma, and The Revolutionaries, an adaptation of the book by the same name.

In the realm of post-theatrical digital release movies, Prime Video presents Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, along with other Telugu offerings like Om Bheem Bush, Family Star, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Game Changer, Thammudu, and Ghaati.

The Hindi line up is more exciting this time. In the Hindi lineup, there's Don 3, Siddharth Malhotra’s Yodha, Stree 2, Ashwatthama, Women of My Billion, Shoojit Sircar’s new movie, Sanki, Baaghi 4, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Ikkis, Housefull 5, Chandu Champion, Ground Zero, Tripti Dimri’s Bad Newz, Yudra, Agni, and Singham 3.

Also Tamil releases caught attention as the Prime Video offers Suriya’s Kanguva. From Kannada, Prime video bags rights of Kantara: Chapter 1. Prime Video's original movie roster includes Watan Mere Watan, Chhorii 2, Subedaar, Supermen Of Malegoan, Be Happy, The Mehta Boys, Uppu KappuRambu, and Cheekatilo.

In addition to a vast array of web series, original movies, and digital releases, Prime Video offers a Telugu talk show hosted by the popular Rana Daggubati, titled ‘The Rana Connection.’

Meanwhile, besides Prime Video, Amazon operates miniTV, a free video entertainment service in India. Additionally, it hosts the Prime Video Store, offering transaction-video-on-demand (TVoD), allowing both Prime subscribers and non-subscribers to rent movies. It also provides the Prime Video Channels vertical, facilitating access to subscription-driven video-on-demand platforms on its app and website.
