Ameer Log, Not Just Restricted To Nizam

The countdown has begun for Ameer Log, the upcoming film that marks the production debut of Madhavi Reddy Soma. Made under Awwal Number Productions, the film is written and directed by Ramana Reddy Soma, with Manohar Reddy Manchuri coming on board as co-producer. The film features MC Hari, Manoj, Vedha Jalandhar and Sashidhar in lead roles.
The film’s team sounded highly confident during a press meet. Director Ramana Reddy Soma revealed that the makers have gone through the film several times and each viewing reinforced their belief that they had created a winner. He maintained that Ameer Log does not follow a familiar template and claimed that audiences have not seen a film of this nature before.

Ramana Reddy Soma also used the occasion to discuss the evolution of Telugu cinema. He noted that Malayalam films are often praised for attempting stories that are different from conventional commercial cinema. In his view, Hyderabad is now ready to establish its own identity in this space. He expects the August 21 release to be the beginning of a larger journey for Ameer Log, with the response in Nizam potentially spreading to other regions. “This film is not just restricted to Nizam, and will equally appeal to the audiences in other regions.”
Producer Madhavi Reddy Soma, meanwhile, expressed gratitude towards Ramana for his unwavering support. She said he guided her throughout the production and personally handled the film’s writing, direction and production responsibilities.
She described Ameer Log as a carefully created work that resembles a beautiful painting. More than simply entertaining viewers, she believes the film will make them feel something deeply personal, with every audience member taking away an emotion of their own.
Spirit Media, the banner led by Rana Daggubati, is releasing the film in Telugu on August 21.
