Box Office: How Did Anaganaga Oka Raju Start?

Sankranti festival season box office has opened on a strong note with multiple Telugu films arriving at the ticket counters. Anaganaga Oka Raju has opened in theatres with modest numbers on its first day worldwide.

According to early estimates, the film collected around 5.26 crore rupees share from the AP and Telangana regions. In gross terms, this comes to nearly 8.80 crore rupees from these two key markets. The overall worldwide share on Day 1 stands at approximately 8.01 crore rupees, while the total worldwide gross is close to 14.80 crore rupees.

Based on these figures, the film has managed to recover about 30 percent of its total investment on the opening day itself. While this is a reasonable start, the road ahead remains challenging.

The movie’s valued break even target is estimated at around 28 crore rupees in share. To be declared a clean hit at the box office, AnaganagaOkaRaju still needs to collect another 19.99 crore rupees share from the coming days.

The performance over the weekend and the response from family audiences will be very important. Strong word of mouth, steady footfalls, and good occupancy in single screens and multiplexes can help improve collections.

If the film shows growth over the next few days and holds well during weekdays, it can slowly move closer to its break even mark. Range of profits is going to be decided by the hold this film maintenance over the next couple of weekends.
