The recently released Telugu film Anakapalli is getting a positive response from audiences after its theatrical release on October 2. The film, which has a raw and rustic backdrop, features Vikram Sahidev, Sandhya Vasishta and Tarak Ponnappa in important roles. Khagesh Tammineni directed the movie, while Thrinadha Rao Nakkina handled the story and screenplay.

Produced by Kandregula Naidu and Thrinadha Rao Nakkina under Bhavya Sri Movie Makers and Nakkina Narratives, the film team organised a Thank You Meet on Tuesday to celebrate the audience response. The makers said that several shows are continuing to receive good crowds, while they also expressed disappointment over the limited number of theatres.

Actor, producer and director Thrinadha Rao Nakkina spoke about the film's journey and audience response. He said, "I did not invest any money in ‘Anakapalli’. They used my name because they felt audiences would come to watch the film if my name was associated with it. I waited until Monday to see the result. Not just Monday, even today (Tuesday), there is a strong audience turnout. Shows are houseful at several places. The film is receiving a positive response from all quarters. All the artistes are also receiving appreciation for their performances. I request the media and audiences to continue supporting the film and take it even further."

Lagadapati Sridhar, who is associated with the film through his son Vikram Sahidev, also expressed confidence in its success. He said, "I am very happy to be part of the success of ‘Anakapalli’. Vikram being my son and Thrinadha Rao garu and Naidu garu coming forward to support him is a great thing. The media always stands by small films and supports them. When ‘Evadi Gola Vadide’ was released, people said it would be removed within the first week. But it eventually completed a Silver Jubilee in the same theatre. Similarly, ‘Anakapalli’ will also achieve great success. It will stand out as a Dasara Dhamaka. Even the Monday night shows were full. I pray that with the blessings of Nookalamma Thalli, ‘Anakapalli’ achieves even greater success."

Producer Kandregula Naidu said that the movie was made with strong belief in the story and the team. He said, "I made ‘Anakapalli’ because of my faith in Thrinadha Rao Nakkina garu. We released our film in 200 theatres. We worked extremely hard to make this movie. However, theatres are being allocated to films from other languages instead of supporting a film that is receiving such a good response. I request everyone to support small producers like us when we come forward with good films. Even today, our shows are houseful at many places. We have made a good movie, and I request the distributors to allot more theatres to our film."

Hero Vikram Sahidev thanked the audience and media for their response. He said, "‘Anakapalli’ is receiving a great response. I have read all the reviews. Thank you to everyone who pointed out both the positives and negatives of our film. The number of theatres screening our movie is also increasing. I thank Thrinadha Rao garu for trusting me and giving me this opportunity. Because of Indraja garu, the family drama came out so beautifully. Davzand garu’s music is fantastic. It was a pleasure working with Tarak Ponnappa garu. Sandhya Vasishta performed wonderfully. During this journey, our producers Naidu garu and Raja garu have become like family members. I hope to continue travelling with them in the future as well."

Actress Indraja also spoke about the limited theatrical release. She said, "‘Anakapalli’ has achieved true success, which is why I came to this Thank You Meet today. It is disappointing that a good film like this was not given a sufficient number of theatres. Everyone who has watched the movie is appreciating it. Audiences are not bothered about who is in the film or who made it. They only care whether the film is good and whether they liked it. I hope our film gets more good theatres. Please watch our movie on OTT as well, but you will then feel that you missed the experience of watching it in theatres. Our film is that good."

Senior journalists Abdul and Siva also appreciated the film. Abdul highlighted the unexpected interval and climax while Siva praised Vikram's performance and the director's presentation.
