When thousands of people strongly called out the weird Bharata Natyam acts of Ananya Panday as unacceptable, many expected that the heroine would handle the whole fiasco with grace. For starters, in the recently released flop film “Chand Mera Dil”, Ananya was seen performing a Bharata Natyam dance on stage, which the makers called a fusion act, but actually looked like a comedy-centric depiction of the sacred and 2000-year-old art form. Here’s what Ananya’s reaction is to the same.

Apparently, the actress stated that she doesn’t deal with trolling any more and she’s over it. “I mute every page on Instagram that gives me the slightest amount of anxiety. We consume social media so heavily that it affects our mental health,” Ananya said, as per reports from Bollywood portals. Many are wondering if this is the way to trolling, because here, genuinely, the actress has attempted something like a self-goal. In the first place, she has done a dance form that is demeaning the classical culture out there. Even after doing that, she’s not ready to tender an apology for the act, or is not able to explain what went wrong with that dance.

Well, slamming social media for social health is nothing but slamming the audiences for the flop show of a film. While a complete run-of-the-mill film like Pati Patni Aur Woh Do collected around ₹40 crores gross, Ananya Panday and Lakshya’s Chand Mera Dil collected only ₹20 crores from the box office after hitting cinemas on May 22nd. That’s a disaster of epic proportions.
