Anil Ravipudi in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit

Director Anil Ravipudi and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have very different filmmaking styles. However, Anil has great admiration for Sandeep's work. Recently, Anil revealed that he asked Sandeep for a small role in his upcoming film 'Spirit.' He shared this during an interview.

He said that Sandeep's response was humorous. Sandeep said, “You are always busy making movies back-to-back. Do you even have the time to act in my movie?” Anil did not reveal how he replied to this question.

Anil spoke about their unique styles of filmmaking. He admitted, “Even if I try for ten more years, I cannot make movies like Sandeep.” He also added, “Sandeep cannot make movies in my style either.” Anil emphasized, “Everyone has their own way of storytelling.”

Anil was impressed with Sandeep's recent movie Animal. He particularly liked the performance of Marathi actor Upendra Limaye. Anil said he was so inspired by Upendra’s role in Animal that he cast him in his own movie, Sankranthiki Vastunnam. Upendra, who is known for serious roles played a full-length comedy role in this film. His performance entertained the audience a lot.

Though Anil may have asked for a role in Sandeep's film just for fun, his promotional videos and looks show he has acting potential and it would not be surprising if Anil acts in a movie someday.

Currently, Anil is enjoying the success of Sankranthiki Vastunnam. He is also preparing to start work on a movie with megastar Chiranjeevi soon.
