When Nayanthara Almost Walked Out Of Chiru’s Film

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is doing well at the box office, and Nayanthara has rocked inside the film as the solo lead. Adding her original mesmerising voice to the movie, she dubbed herself in Telugu, adding more charm and elegance to the character of Sasirekha.

At this juncture, while speaking about her in the Sankranthi special interview, Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi revealed how, at one point decided to walk out of the film. Due to some technical issues, after Saahu Garapati approached her from Hyderabad and Sushmitha Konidela spoke to her from Chennai, Nayanthara called up Anil Ravipudi on the phone to say NO to the project.

“She told me her inability to do the film due to technical issues, and asked me what I would do then. I told her the Drishyam movie story, saying that I will feel like— I’ve never called Nayanthara on the phone. Never narrated a story to her. And never met her and never had movie discussions,” said Anil Ravipudi, adding that those lines convinced Nayanthara. “She then said, "I will do this film for you” added Anil. Well, the director’s work is not about writing the story and finding a producer, but getting the right cast aboard too.
