Anil Ravipudi Responds Calmly To Cringe Criticism

Tollywood often regards Anil Ravipudi as a director who never disappointed his producers in terms of raking up revenues. That’s why he is hailed as a hit machine at the Box Office, with many stars and young heroes often looking forward to joining hands with him. On the other side, he gets criticised for making cringe content, unlike some meaningful films. None other than the master stroke player himself answered this comment now.

“The word cringe will continue to follow me everywhere. Even after I deliver ten more blockbusters like Sankranthiki Vastunnam, this keeps on happening. But then, the fact remains that only 10% of those people are actually calling my films cringe, and making comments on social media, while the 90% of audience are enjoying and applauding them. When my producers and buyers are happy with the results, why should I care about those 10% people? If 90% of the people say that I’m making cringe films, then I will pay attention to the criticism,” said Anil Ravipudi the other day in a media interaction.

Regarding the foul language used by Bulli Raju like a kid character in Sankranthiki Vastunna, Anil says, “Children these days are watching YouTube and becoming like that, including my own son. I’ve designed that character to warn the parents.” Looks like Anil is making his intentions clear as he is getting ready for the relase of his next directorial, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankar Varaprasad Garu on January 12, 2026.
