#AA23: Anirudh Creates Remuneration Record

At a time when the likes of SS Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad are charging anywhere close to ₹10 crores as their paycheck from Telugu movies, the one who has shocked with his amazing remuneration is none other than Anirudh. At one point, this remuneration of the happening composer is more than that of the leading hero of the movies of his films.

Reports are coming that to become part of the upcoming #AA23, which features Allu Arjun in the lead and has Lokesh Kanagaraj at the helm as a director, the Tamil composer is charging a bomb. Not just any bomb, but it’s like a huge nuclear bomb, as he’s said to be taking home around ₹23 crores as a pay packet. If this is true, then surely Anirudh is the highest-paid composer in the whole of India, with a legend like AR Rahman also charging only half of it.

That said, in an album of 4-5 songs in a movie, Anirudh is definitely making sure to give at least a couple of chartbusters, and those songs are clocking more than 100 million views digitally even before the release of the movie. Such success of music is helping films get massive footfalls, and that justifies the remuneration being charged by the composer.
