Music can lift a film or leave it hanging mid-air. Right now, Gautam Tinnanuri’s Magic is floating somewhere in between. The Jersey director wrapped up shooting long back, all ready to show his next story to the world, but one thing’s holding it back, Anirudh Ravichander. Yep, the man who makes every tune sound like fire seems to have no time left on his clock.

And you can’t really blame him fully. Anirudh’s got a truckload of biggies lined up, Tamil films like Vidaa Muyarchi, Coolie, and Madharaasi, Telugu’s Kingdom, plus Hindi projects like The Baadsh of Bollywood. If that’s not enough, there’s Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, Nani’s The Paradise, and Shah Rukh Khan’s King. So, yeah, the guy’s plate is overflowing. But for Tinnanuri, that one last song delay is turning into a long wait that’s testing nerves.

Magic, produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios, features fresh faces, Sara Arjun, Anmol Kajani, Aakash Srinivas, and Siddharth Tanuku. The film’s already done and dusted, but it’s still sitting in the box, waiting for its music to breathe life into it. Insiders say the team’s been nudging Anirudh to finish up soon, but he’s caught up in too many tunes at once.

The plan, as of now, is to drop the film in early 2026. It’s got all the right ingredients, a good story, new talent, and the promise of Anirudh’s magic. Only thing missing? The actual music. Till then, this Magic stays a mystery no one can quite hum along to.
