Director Clarifies On Anupama's Tillu Controversy

It is known that actress Anupama Parameswaran didn’t attend the pre-release event of Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer Tillu Square which will be hitting the screens tomorrow. The film’s director Mallik Ram clarified the issue.

“Unfortunately, a poster which released on social media during the promotion of tillu square was received with hate a troll comments which hurt anupama badly. The photo went viral on social media and Anupama was hurt by that. We got the poster down before it spread more.

We tried to pacify her but she was immensely hurt by then. So, we didn’t force her to attend the event, as she was not in a mood. She took her time and got back saying she is alright. She will take part in all the post-release promotional activities.”

The director informs that he shares a good rapport with Siddu for a long time now. “We have been good friends for a long time and we planned to do a film together. Siddhu is a good writer and he has a typical timing in uttering dialogues. Unlike DJ Tillu which was character-driven, Tillu Square is a big story with a big set-up. There is action, comedy, romance, and many other aspects one would expect in a commercial film.”

Mallik Ram also revealed that he will next be doing a Netflix series which involves some big names. "I also have a Pan India project in the pipeline. I’m also working on scripts of my other projects."

The director concluded by saying he is very confident that Tillu Square would live up to all the hype.
