Actress opens up about male co-star’s intimate scene

Actress Anupria Goenka recently opened up about uncomfortable experiences while filming intimate scenes. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she revealed that a male co-actor got visibly excited during a kissing scene, making her feel violated. In another instance, while she was wearing an outfit she wasn’t fully comfortable in, a co-actor inappropriately placed his hands lower than necessary. She had to correct him by moving his hands to her waist.

Despite these incidents, Anupria also spoke about more respectful experiences with co-stars who maintained professionalism during intimate scenes. She emphasized the importance of clear communication and mutual comfort while filming such moments.

Her revelations highlight the challenges actors, especially women, face on set. She believes that while many actors are respectful, it is crucial for the industry to have strict boundaries and better awareness to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Despite the strong presence of the anti physical advancement campaign, it is still to be understood that several actors have been exploiting the same and travelling their female co-stars. This tradition needs to stop at the earliest.
