South Cinema Blockbuster: Bollywood Going Crazy?

For a really long time now the kind of cultural impact that South Indian cinema has historically had on the Indian film industry has been significant. This trend is not likely to slowdown in the near future as it is only going to become more prevalent.

In this context, Bollywood film maker Anurag Kashyap has shared every interesting piece of information as he said the Bollywood is absolutely cooked up by the kind of phenomenon that South Indian cinema is creating.

Anurag Kashyap quoted the recent example of Malayalam Blockbuster film Lokah to make his point. Three pointed out that the Bollywood film makers will now inadvertently fall on making more films in this genre in order to make the kind of momentum that was built by South Cinema

Anurag Kashyap for the ride at that Bollywood film makers like the kind of originality that is seen in South Indian films, and they are expected to follow this suit in the near future as well.

“Now that South Indian film has become a historic blockbuster at the box office and collected money at the ticket counters, Bollywood film makers will simply blindly follow this formula from now on. We will continue to see many more Hindi films falling in this category in the future, and that is going to be the case unconditionally.” Anurag said.

The clear implication from Anurag Kashyap, here is that Bollywood lacks original ideas, and they will simply follow this formula of superhero films that has been set by South Indian cinema.

Back in the day, it was Hindi films which were leading the charge in Indian cinema and creating this path for the South Indian film industry as well. But this is going to change with the new cultural phenomena created by South Indian cinema.
