Anurag Kashyap Opens Up About His 20-Year Age Gap With Shubhra

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has spoken openly about his relationship with Shubhra Shetty and the age difference between them. The filmmaker, who is 53, is in a relationship with Shubhra, who is in her 30s. Their relationship has often attracted public attention because of their 20-year age gap.

In a recent conversation, Anurag discussed his thoughts about love, marriage and their future together. He said that marriage is not very important to Shubhra. According to him, she does not believe in marriage, but he is happy with the relationship they share.

When asked if he wanted to marry Shubhra, Anurag made it clear that he is more focused on keeping their relationship strong. He said, "I’m very happy to be with her. I want to be with her. So, whatever that takes. There’s a lot in life. What is an old man’s insecurity? I want to be healthy enough to outlive the people I love."

The filmmaker also said that he does not want social expectations to affect his personal life. He added, "As long as we have found what we have found now, I’m happy with anything. I don’t want to lose this."

Anurag also spoke about how their age gap made him uncomfortable at times. He admitted that he became more conscious about it as he grew older. He explained that Shubhra continued to look young, which made him think more about the difference in their ages.

"We’ve had our moments. We have been self-conscious. I’ve been more conscious," he said.

He also revealed that there was a time when he tried to distance himself from the relationship because of the attention surrounding their age difference. However, he later understood the importance of the bond they shared.

Shubhra also recalled a touching moment from the early days of their relationship. She had told Anurag that falling in love was on her bucket list. After experiencing it, she felt happy about having found love.

Her words deeply affected Anurag. Shubhra recalled that he once told her she had given him something to live for and made him want to live longer.

Shubhra had earlier worked as an assistant director at Anurag Kashyap’s production house, Phantom Films. The two were first seen together in public in 2015, while Anurag spoke publicly about their relationship in 2018.
