Anushka Shetty Shocks Fans, Skips Ghati Promotions

Fans waiting eagerly to see Anushka Shetty in the promotions of Ghati, releasing on September 5, are in for a surprise. Like her previous film, Miss Shetty and Mr Polishetty, she will skip all publicity events this time too. Producer Rajeev Reddy confirmed that, according to the earlier terms, Anushka will not attend any pre-release events or give video interviews. Her absence is now a certainty, and the team is preparing accordingly.

In her earlier films, Naveen Polishetty carried the entire weight of promotions alone, charming both young audiences and families. His presence minimized the effect of a missing co-star. But in Ghati, the hero is Vikram Prabhu, a Tamil actor less familiar to the Telugu audience. His occasional dubbed films like Gaja Raju never really connected here. So, whether he participates in promotions or not, the film will largely depend on other elements, with director Krish needing to highlight special features to draw attention.

Even with big names like Jagapathi Babu and Chaitanya Rao in the movie, the lack of Anushka is noticeable. However, the producers believe that a strong story and interesting content will still work well. For UV Creations, this film is important after many delays, and if it becomes a success, it could help them a lot against other big movies like Vishwambhara that are coming out across the country.

Ghati is also noteworthy for Anushka’s bold and new avatar. Set against the backdrop of ganja cultivation in the hills, she takes on a violent shade that fans have never seen before. Her performance, combined with the gripping storyline, may well make the film a talking point, proof that sometimes, a film’s strength lies beyond promotional appearances.
