Anushka Shetty Turns Fierce in Kaithi 2?

Anushka Shetty has never rushed into projects, and that hasn’t changed. Even with solid hits behind her, she continues to pick her roles carefully. Right now, she’s getting ready for Ghati, which releases in Telugu on July 11. She’s also completed her part in the Malayalam film Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, expected to release later this year. The latest buzz is that Anushka might join director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s universe with Kaithi 2. Karthi is returning in the lead, and the film is said to be a prequel to the original Kaithi. Reports say Anushka has been approached to play a strong role in this film. If true, it’ll be her second time sharing screen space with Karthi after Alex Pandian.

Kaithi 2 is still in the pre-production stage, and shooting may begin around September. There’s no confirmation yet, but the project already has people talking, especially with Lokesh’s reputation for tight, gritty storytelling and building connections across his films.
