Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon have become a hot pair down South with 'Ok Bangaram'. To capitalize on that craze, The Malayalam flick '100 Days of Love' is being dubbed in Telugu and released with the same time. Let's find out if the feature film is as promising as its trailer…

Synopsis:

Gopal (Dulquer Salmaan) is a rich lad who leads life on his terms rather than bothering about the family legacy. Although he keeps working as a Feature Writer for a English Daily, Gopal aims to become a Comic Cartoonist. But, he continues to face few problems because of his aggressive nature. Thereafter, Gopal goes in search of Savitri and comes to know she was already engaged to some other guy. What did Gopal do then? Did he sacrifice his love or won the heart of Savitri?

Performances:

Its always a pleasure to watch finest actors like Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon together. They gave a matured performance and makes the sequences look so natural. Not just any one scene, But they owned the whole movie.

In the role of Hero's Friend, Sekhar Menon earns brownie points. He did a fine job during funny scenes and touches the heart with an emotional sequence in the climax.

Vineeth made a comeback after a long gap and he is alright. As a arrogant guy, Rahul Madhav is just perfect.

Pros:

Lead Pair

Feel-Good Factor

Cons:

Predictable

Snail-Paced

Technicalities:

Music of this Feel-Good Entertainer is flawless. Songs by Govind Menon and BGM by Bijibal have carried the mood of the film. Cinematography by Prateesh Varma is pleasant. Dialogues by Sashank Vennelakanti were okay. Production Values were good. Although its his maiden project, Genius Mahmood never gave that feeling to the viewer with the way he handled the whole movie. He succeeded in attaining good output from Cast & Crew. The only major complaint would be the snail-paced narration.

Analysis:

The basic storyline of '100 Days Of Love' is nothing different from hundreds of Love Stories we have seen in the past. For a Love Story, Whether or not Audience connect with the Lead Pair and Does it have the required feel to move the viewers matters the most. '100 Days of Love' is successful in these aspects.

Although its too predictable, Matured performances and the feel-good factor works in its favor. Of course, The slow narration could test the patience of audience. After taking so much time to start the story, Viewer gets impatient upon realizing about the lack of twists & turns.

Malayalam Industry produced Feel-Good Entertainers like 'Premam' and 'Bangalore Days' in the recent past. Although '100 Days Of Love' too have the feel-good factor, It wasn't as gripping as the above mentioned blockbusters. Once you don't connect with the feel in the Love Story, Watching this Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon starrer is a big bore.

Audience will instantly connect with the Characters and Scenes as everything looks so natural. The Director tried to convey the message that leading life on one's own terms is bliss. Screenplay penned by him will establish an emotional connect with Hero's role. Though Climax is similar to what audience would expect, Director succeeded in making the viewers sit in their seats till the very end.

Bottom Line:
Slow-Paced Feel Good Entertainer!
