Box-Office: '2.O' New Record On the Way
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Dec 2018 9:39 AM GMTSuperstar Rajinikanth and ace Director Shankar's much anticipated Sci-Fi thriller '2.O' is having a dream run at the box office. The Akshay Kumar starrer is creating record-breaking collections in Hindi.
Though the collections are not that high for the 2D version, the 3D version of the movie is doing moderately well. When compared to the Telugu and Tamil versions, the Hindi version of the movie has already reached the break-even point and the distributors are enjoying huge profits with the movie. Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' created a record by collecting a gross of 100 crores in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
The Hindi version of '2.O' has already reached the 100 crores mark by the first weekend itself. The film made a gross of 85 crores till now in Telugu and has recently reached the 100 crores mark in Tamil. If Telugu version makes 15 more crores, the movie will be able to perform the rare feat 'Baaubali' did.
Though Rajinikanth has a massive fan following in Kollywood when compared to the other industries, the Tamil version of '2.O' took a long time to reach the target. However, as the movie is still in theatres we can say that the distributors are in the safe zone.
