2.O First Weekend BO: Terrific Sunday!

'2.O' collected a Gross of Rs 173 crore and Distributor's Share of Rs 91 crore in India by the end of first 3 days. On Day 3 (Saturday), The Sci-Fi Thriller collected a Gross of Rs 59 crore and Share of Rs 29.5 crore. This can't be a promising start for a film made with a mammoth budget of Rs 550 crore.
Huge Jump in revenues all over the country on Day 4 (Sunday) brought a smile on the faces of Producer, Distributors and Buyers. '2.O' Hindi Version raked in Rs 97.25 crore in the First Weekend itself. A fantastic growth of 37 percent was recorded on Sunday (Rs 34 crore). Of course, How the Shankar-directorial fares in the weekdays (Mon to Thurs) will be crucial for its long run.
Telugu Version of '2.O' isn't bad either. It collected a Gross of over Rs 55 crore & Distributor's Share of Rs 33 crore in the weekend. Still, Rs 39 crore has to be recovered for break even (Rs 72 crore).
Collections in Tamil Nadu picked up in the Weekend. Revenues on Saturday and Sunday have given some hope for the Distributors. First Weekend gross is around Rs 50 crore-mark.
In Karnataka, A revenue of Rs 25 crore was generated in 4 days. '2.O' Kerala Gross is around Rs 15 crore during the same period.
Officially, '2.O' has become Highest Grossing Tamil Film ever by the end of First Weekend by surpassing the full run record of 'Robo' (Rs 288 crore).
