Box-Office: Strong opening for '2.O' in Chennai

Ending the long wait, Superstar Rajinikanth and renowned Director Shankar's magnum opus '2.O' has finally hit the screens on November 29th. Touted to be a sci-fi thriller, the movie came out as the sequel to the 2010-released blockbuster movie 'Robo'.
The outstanding performances by the cast, incredible narration, astounding BGM, and wonderful visual effects have made '2.O' the biggest winner at the box office and the film had a great opening day. Coming to the collections in the Chennai city, the movie made a gross of 2.64 crores on day 1 and 2.13 cross on Day 2. To sum up, the movie has already made a gross of 4.77 crores only in Chennai. Owing to the positive talk, the film is still going well at the box office and the advance tickets are getting sold like hotcakes for the weekend.
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar played the antagonist role in the movie. Amy Jackson played the female lead. Oscar winner AR Rahman scored the music and Lyca Productions bankrolled this project with a humongous budget of 500 crores.
