Director Puri Jagannadh who debuted with 'Badri' has first narrated the story of 'Itlu Sravani Subramanyam' to ace Cinematographer Chota K Naidu. He got impressed with the line and asked Jagan to come up with full story so that he would arrange a narration with Pawan Kalyan.
The narration was arranged but Jagan narrated 'Badri' instead of 'Itlu Sravani Subramanyam'. Pawan got impressed but insisted the 'suicide of lovers' story.Puri Jagan tricked Pawan saying that story is an art film but 'Badri' has the potential of commercial blockbuster.
The entire episode has irked Chota K Naidu who took it serious and stopped talking to the Director for years. On the other side Sam K Naidu, the brother of Chota K Naidu has filmed about dozen films with this maverick director.
Renu Desai and Amisha Patel has acted in the film as leading ladies. Prakash Raj played a pivotal role in the film. Badri was a smash hit at the Box Office then.
