2023 Sankranthi: It is Prabhas vs Pawan Kalyan

The 2023 Sankranthi season is going to be an interesting one for the Telugu audience as there are two big ticket releases lined up for theatrical outing next Sankranthi festival season.
The two big ticket films are Prabhas's Adipurush and Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Apparently, both these films will be locking horns at the box office next festival season.
Adipurush is due for release on the 12th of January, as announced by the makers a few days ago. As for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan is currently shooting for this film at a specially erected set in Hyderabad and the entire filming part is expected to be wrapped in the next couple of months.
While the makers of Adipush had already announced that the film will be relating in theatres on the 12th of January, an official announcement on the Sankrathi release slot will be made by the makers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the next few days.
Pawan Kalyan is pinning high hopes on HHVM as the film is the costliest one in his career thus far and it also marks Pawan's debut in the pan-India circuit. So, we will be witnessing a high voltage clash between Prabhas's Adipurush and Pawan Kalyan's HHVM next Sankranthi season. This should be an interesting box office clash between these two big ticket films.
Also, Thalapthy Vijay's upcoming film, Thalapthy 66 will be releasing next Sankranthi, as confirmed by Dil Raju. But this film won't give much competition to Adipurush and Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the Telugu states as it is near impossible to clash with Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan in the domestic circuit.
There might also be a few more additions to the list of Sankranthi releases. More clarity will emerge as we approach the end of the year which is still a fair bit away from now.
