Tollywood is gearing up for a super interesting new theatrical release frenzy. Several big-ticket films including Pushpa: The Rise, Akhanda, Shyam Singh Roy, RRR, Bheemla Nayak, Ghani, and others are gearing up for theatrical release through the course fo the next couple of months or so. But here is an interesting observation that is sure to leave mega fans greatly excited. As things stand, a total of four films, featuring as many mega heroes in the lead roles are gearing up for theatrical release starting from the 17th of December through till 12th January.

First on the list is Allu Arjun's Pushpa, which is releasing on the 17th of December this year. This is the first installment of the Pushpa duology. The film is billed to be an intense action drama and it is directed by Sukumar. This will start off the 'mega' release frenzy that is looking to be a really intriguing one. Then comes Varun Tej's Ghani which will be out in theatres from the 24th of December. This film is a heavy duty sports drama and it has Varun Tej in the role of professional boxer. It will be releasing a week post Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise.

Then comes the most interesting project of the lot - RRR. This Rajamouli directorial has Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles and it is the most awaited film in Indian cinema. This biggie will be arriving in theatres on the 12th of January next year and it is expected to take the Indian box office by storm. This is the biggest release from the 'mega' family in recent times. Ram Charan is pinning high hopes in the periodic action drama which is mounted on a super lavish scale.

Lastly, we have Bheemla Nayak, which has Pawan Kalayan in the lead roles. The film will be arriving in theatres on the 12th of January. There are chances for the postponement of the film's release but as things stand, it will be releasing on 12th January, which is just 5 days post the release of RRR. All in all 5 'mega' films will be releasing in theatres in less than a month's span.
